Confusion and tension disrupted the voting process at the St. Theresa’s School polling station in the Okaikwei South constituency after a group accused of being affiliated with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was found in possession of suspected fake printed ballots.
The incident, which occurred amid growing anticipation for election results, caused chaos as party supporters and polling officials worked to maintain order and transparency.
Eyewitnesses reported that the individuals arrived at the polling station in a vehicle, attempting to access the premises.
Their actions raised suspicions among vigilant supporters and polling agents on-site.
Upon further inspection, the group was found with ballots that appeared pre-marked.
The suspected fake ballots reportedly resembled official electoral materials, sparking concerns about potential foul play in the election process.
