Accra Street Journal is a dynamic digital platform committed to delivering bold, practical, and insightful journalism from the streets of Ghana to the world. We focus on real issues that matter—spanning business, governance, lifestyle, tech, health, culture, and everyday street realities.
As a proud subsidiary of SamBoad Publishing Ltd., and ultimately part of SamBoad Holdings Ltd., Accra Street Journal is part of a growing ecosystem of platforms designed to elevate authentic African voices and stories.
Our Mission
To provide clear, fact-based, street-smart reporting and opinion pieces that connect everyday Ghanaians with information they can trust—insight that informs action and challenges the status quo.
Our Vision
To become Ghana’s most trusted street-level news and commentary platform, combining local relevance with national impact—driven by purpose, independence, and editorial integrity.
Editorial Integrity and Ethics
We are deeply committed to editorial independence and transparency. Our team upholds a rigorous process of research, sourcing, and fact-checking to deliver content that is trustworthy, timely, and empowering.
Each story includes a writer byline with full attribution, and we date-stamp all content to reflect its most recent update. Our visual and multimedia assets are original unless credited otherwise.
Impartial Journalism
At Accra Street Journal, we draw a clear line between editorial and advertising content. Sponsored articles are explicitly labeled and do not influence our editorial judgment.
Writers and editors are required to disclose any conflicts of interest—financial, professional, or personal—that could compromise the fairness of a story. We may occasionally receive complimentary products or services for review, but we always disclose such instances, and we never accept gifts for personal use.
Corrections and Accuracy
We believe in accountability. If we discover factual errors or omissions that impact how a piece is interpreted, we:
-
Correct the content promptly.
-
Add a footnote explaining what was corrected and when.
-
In cases of serious breaches like plagiarism or ethical violations, a retraction will be issued, detailing why and by whom the content was pulled.
In rare and serious situations—such as content that is defamatory, violates privacy, or breaches legal obligations—removal of the article may be necessary.
