The Brazilian winger could be sacrificed for around £40 million as Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain monitor his situation ahead of a summer of change at the Emirates.
Gabriel Martinelli’s future at Arsenal has come under serious scrutiny, with the Brazilian winger emerging as a leading candidate to be sacrificed as manager Mikel Arteta moves to reshape his attack following the club’s Premier League title success.
Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have all shown interest in the 24-year-old in recent months, and sources close to the situation indicate there is growing acceptance within Arsenal that Martinelli could depart should the right offer arrive. The biggest obstacle for any interested club, however, could be Arsenal’s valuation.

Bayern Munich are particularly keen, but interested parties currently value Martinelli at around £35 million to £40 million. Arsenal are understood to have little interest in entertaining bargain-price offers. Martinini remains under contract until 2027, and the club holds an option to extend his deal by a further year, giving the Gunners significant leverage in negotiations.
Arsenal are expected to be active in the transfer market as Arteta seeks to strengthen a squad that is looking to build on winning the Premier League. One area the club is particularly keen to upgrade is the left side of the attack. Flashscore reported on Thursday that Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers is a player admired by Arsenal, with the club seriously exploring the possibility of bringing the England international to north London.
According to a report by Accra Street Journal, any move for a high-profile attacker of that calibre would place greater uncertainty over Martinelli’s role. Should a new left-sided forward arrive, Arsenal would likely need to sanction at least one departure from their current attacking options. While Leandro Trossard has also been linked with a move away, current indications suggest Martinelli is the more likely candidate to leave.
Despite a mixed campaign by his own high standards, Martinelli remains a proven performer at the highest level and is still regarded as one of the Premier League’s most dangerous wide forwards when in form. His situation is expected to shape up as one of the intriguing subplots of the summer transfer window as Arsenal balance the need for squad evolution against the risk of losing a player who has been central to their recent resurgence.
