As her goodwill message for women as we mark International Womens’ Day, Charity Adupong in an exclusive interview with Accra Street Journal, advocated for women in entrepreneurship to persevere

Adupong’s commitment to women’s empowerment is deeply embedded in her business model. She maintains a 70% female workforce, creating employment opportunities that enhance financial independence for women in Ghana’s agribusiness value chain.

Under Adupong’s leadership, Meannan Foods has made remarkable strides. What began as a one-person operation now boasts a team of 33 employees operating from its Mataheko factory in the Ningo/Prampram district.

In 2021, Meannan Foods received a GHS 105,000 ($17,000) grant, which facilitated the acquisition of advanced machinery, boosting production efficiency by over 100%.
