⚔️ What is the Fearless Draft?
The Fearless Draft format—introduced for the first time at a major international tournament—prevents teams from picking champions they used in previous games of a series. This change encourages strategic diversity and deeper champion pools, making matchups far less predictable.
“It rewards creativity and punishes stagnation,” said Riot Games Tournament Director Kelsey Moser. “It’s the perfect way to shake up the mid-season meta.”
🌎 Canada’s Growing Esports Stage
This marks the first time Canada is hosting an MSI event, and the venue in downtown Vancouver has been completely transformed into a LoL fan hub. With live crowds back at full capacity, the energy around the tournament has returned in full force.
Esports fans in Ghana and across Africa have followed MSI closely, and African casters and streamers are increasingly covering the matches live—making esports feel closer than ever to the continent.
🎮 Eyes on Worlds 2025
The winner of MSI 2025 not only takes home international glory but also earns a guaranteed slot at Worlds 2025, the biggest event in the League of Legends calendar. That makes every game critical, and early upsets could dramatically reshape regional power rankings heading into the second half of the season.

The MSI 2025 isn’t just about the gameplay—it’s about innovation, audience growth, and elevating esports culture globally.
