Accra, Ghana – December 31, 2024 – Priority Insurance Co. Ltd, a leading provider of insurance solutions in Ghana, announces the retirement of its esteemed Managing Director, Mr. Matthew K.A. Aidoo(CA), effective 31st December 2024. Mr. Matthew K.A. Aidoo (CA) leaves behind a remarkable legacy of leadership, innovation, and service excellence, having guided the company through significant milestones over his 12-year tenure.

During his tenure, Chartered Accountant (CA) Aidoo spearheaded numerous initiatives like Home/Office 360 Insurance, Nhyira WhatsApp Bot, Investment into our Digital Presence, Branch and office Expansions nationwide, Priority Insurance Agents Awards Scheme , 38th Position in Ghana Club 100, Four (4) Awards and honours , Robust CSR Initiatives etc. that has solidified Priority Insurance’s position as a trusted partner in the insurance industry. Under his leadership, the company achieved remarkable growth in Gross Premium and Underwriting Profit, expanding its product portfolio and clientele base growth, asset growth, Premium growth, employee development etc. to meet diverse customer needs and implementing cutting-edge technologies that enhanced operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Mr. Aidoo’s unwavering commitment to excellence as a member of the Ecowas Brown Card, Ghana and Ghana Insurance Association has not only driven the company’s success but has also earned him recognition as an industry leader. He has played a pivotal role in fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within Priority Insurance, leaving a lasting impact on both the organization and the broader insurance sector in Ghana.

A Smooth Transition

Priority Insurance Co. Ltd is committed to ensuring a seamless leadership transition as Mr. Felix Akyea-Bekoe steps in as the Acting Managing Director. The Board has therefore commenced the process of identifying a successor who will build upon the solid foundation laid by Mr. Matthew K.A Aidoo (CA). Further announcements regarding the new Managing Director will be made in due course.
