England-born defender with Ghanaian roots, Brendan Wiredu, scored his first goal for Plymouth Argyle in their victory over Queens Park Rangers (QPR) on Tuesday night.
The central defender earned his second start of the season after his summer transfer, as they went up against QPR in the EFL Cup.
QPR opened the scoring after 21 minutes with a goal from Daniel Bennie, followed by Rayan Kolli doubling the lead to make it 0-2 just before halftime.

Everything shifted in the second half as Wiredu led a remarkable comeback on home turf.
The former Fleetwood Town centre-back scored three minutes after the break to half the deficit.
Owen Oseni then scored to tie the score before he went on to complete his brace and turn the game around for Plymouth.
The 3-2 win sends them into the next round of the competition.
