Rwanda Beat Ghana to Book Semi-Final Spot as Ghana Face Tunisia in Classification Match

Rwanda have secured a place in the semi-finals of the CAVB Women’s African Nations Volleyball Championship after defeating Ghana 3-1 in a hard-fought quarter-final at the Kasarani Indoor Arena.

Rwanda took control early, winning the opening set 25-17, but Ghana fought back strongly to claim the second set 26-24 and level the contest.

The Rwandans regained their composure in the third set, winning 25-19, before sealing victory with a 25-18 win in the fourth set.

The victory sends Rwanda into the semi-finals, where they will face three-time African champions Egypt.

Ghana, meanwhile, will continue their campaign in the classification stage and face Tunisia as they battle to improve their final position in the championship.

Despite the quarter-final defeat, Ghana produced moments of strong resistance, particularly in the second set, but Rwanda’s consistency in the crucial stages ultimately proved decisive.
