MTN Ghana leads the mobile voice market with 75.33% share, far ahead of competitors Telecel Ghana (17.17%) and AirtelTigo (7.51%).

MTN Ghana has once again asserted its dominance in the mobile voice market, claiming an impressive 75.33% of the total market share, according to the National Communications Authority’s (NCA) latest report.

Out of the 37,985,280 mobile voice subscriptions, MTN leads with a staggering 28,613,100 active users, cementing its role as a giant in Ghana’s telecommunications landscape.

Following far behind is Ghana Telecommunications Company Limited (Telecel Ghana), which accounts for 6,520,575 subscriptions, representing 17.17% of the market.

Airtel Ghana Limited (AirtelTigo) rounds out the top three with 2,851,605 subscriptions, holding a modest 7.51% share. These figures underscore the uphill battle faced by competitors in a market largely dominated by MTN.

The report also highlights a slight dip in the overall market, with a month-over-month contraction of 1.15%.

Yet, even in a shrinking market, MTN Ghana’s expansive network and unwavering focus on customer satisfaction have kept it miles ahead of the competition, solidifying its reputation as the nation’s preferred mobile voice provider.

Meanwhile, Telecel Ghana and AirtelTigo are striving to carve out their space in the industry. Both operators face fierce competition as they work to enhance service quality and expand their reach to win over subscribers.
