From Bandana, Doggy to Shatta Wale: The Struggles, Hate, Love, and Perseverance [Full Story]

Before Bandana, he was known as Doggy and now his Shatta Wale has become a household name after it took him 10 years to bounce back into the music industry. Shatta Wale has explained how he rose to fame after he left home to stay with his ex girlfriend in their family house.

In an interview with Kafui Dey on GTV’s breakfast show, Shatta Wale narrated how he lost majority of his friends jilted him due to lack of funds and enough resources. He also derailed the ordeal he went through in the hands of his former girlfriend’s brother while he squatted with them in their family house.

According to him, transitioning from Bandana to Shatta Wale took him over 10 years, recounting the little support and rejections he faced from his baby mama. He also mentioned how the Shatta Wale brand has afforded him a life that the Bandana brand never gave him, adding that he can now take care of his baby mama and children.

“During my Bandana time all my friends left me because I had nothing, I had to depend on my girlfriend and stayed with her in her family house. I felt very bad staying there because I got punched by my girlfriend’s brother sometime back, I was going to do too known”.

“My ex-girlfriend lost hope in me as well which resulted in us arguing over little things, she would sometimes curse me and stuff like that but I thank God today I am able to take good care of her, bought her some cars and I’m thinking of buying her a house as well”.

He further explained that his ability to read and understand zodiac signs contributes a lot to his success in the music industry. He added that, he sometimes does not get surprised at how his popularity has traveled and the goodies that keep coming his way. He believes his star sig is naturally designed for fame and popularity.
