Mahama Unveils Kwahu Business Forum to Support 600 Ghanaian Enterprises by 2029

Mpraeso, Eastern Region – In a significant move to bolster Ghana’s private sector, President John Dramani Mahama launched the second edition of the Kwahu Business Forum in Mpraeso. The initiative aims to support over 600 local enterprises by the end of his current term in 2029.

The forum serves as a strategic platform for dialogue between financial institutions and private sector players, focusing on sectors such as agro-processing, manufacturing, and export-led industries. President Mahama emphasized the importance of practical strategies to stimulate economic growth and fulfill campaign promises.

Chief of Staff Julius Debrah highlighted that each participating bank is expected to support at least five viable, bankable projects this year, with plans to continue this support annually. This approach is projected to result in the creation of over 600 enterprises by the end of the four-year term, aligning with President Mahama’s vision of fostering a robust and inclusive business environment.

The forum also aims to expand its scope to include agencies like the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), providing businesses with comprehensive insights into the benefits and opportunities available to them.

As reported by Accra Street Journal, the Kwahu Business Forum represents a national movement towards economic resilience and prosperity, marking a milestone in Ghana’s journey towards sustainable development and private sector-led growth
