Week 8 of the Rugby League Federation Ghana (RLFG) Men’s 13s Championship delivered fireworks as the Nungua Tigers and Accra Panthers bounced back in style during Round 2 of the season.
After a tough loss to the Skolars in Round 1, the Tigers roared into action at the Legon Rugby Stadium, overwhelming their opponents with a convincing 41–26 win. Key players Godfred Aikins, Ekow Sarkodie, and captain Oliver Puman delivered crucial tries to lift the Tigers to second place in the league standings.
Meanwhile, the Accra Panthers shocked the defending champions Bulls RLFC, securing a gritty 22–16 victory. Tries by Godwin Asamoah, Adam Marsuu, Jalilu Abdul, and Abdul Wadood Arimiyao, combined with conversions from Asamoah and Marsuu, sealed the win.
