Accra, Ghana — United States’ David Beckles and three Indian players — Shivtej Shirfule, Dev Vipul Patel and Om Verma — have reached the Boys’ singles semi-finals of the World Tennis Tour Juniors J100 Accra at the National Tennis Centre.
Beckles, seeded fourth, continued his strong run in Accra with a 6-4, 7-5 victory over India’s fifth seed Mannan Ashok Agarwal.

The American, who won last week’s tournament in Accra, produced another composed performance to secure his place in the final four.
Top seed Dev Vipul Patel of India also advanced with a straight-sets victory, defeating China’s eighth seed Ziao Qian 6-2, 6-3.

Shivtej Shirfule joined his compatriot in the semi-finals after overcoming South Korea’s Taejun Her 6-2, 6-2.

The final place went to India’s sixth seed Om Verma, who defeated Kenya’s third seed Zayyan Virani 7-5, 6-1.

The results leave India with three representatives in the boys’ singles semi-finals, while Beckles is the only player from outside India to remain in contention for the title.
The J100 Accra is being staged at the National Tennis Centre in Accra under the Tennis Foundation Ghana Open and forms part of the World Tennis Tour Juniors, providing young players with an opportunity to earn international ranking points and gain experience on the global junior circuit.
With the semi-final line-up now complete, attention turns to the next round as the four remaining players compete for places in the boys’ singles final.
