The gross loan portfolio increased by nearly 49 percent to GH¢580 million, up from GH¢390 million in 2024, while customer deposits rose 56 percent to GH¢430 million, signalling stronger client confidence and deeper market penetration. Advans Ghana also expanded its active customer base to 149,000, consolidating its position in the savings and loans subsector.

Managing Director Guillaume Valence attributed the performance to disciplined execution and a clear strategic focus. “Behind these results are real stories: clients who trust us to grow their businesses and committed teams who deliver every day,” he said. “Purpose, vision and disciplined execution are what drive our growth.”

Women entrepreneurs remained a central pillar of the bank’s expansion. The number of female customers rose to 86,000, while lending under the AdvansHER programme increased by 52 percent. The average loan size granted to women entrepreneurs grew by 17 percent, pointing to stronger business expansion among female-led enterprises. The institution also invested in business development programmes for more than 30,000 women farmers and committed GH¢10.2 million to agricultural value chains, including rice and shea production.

Digital adoption gained significant traction. Transactions through digital channels rose by 48 percent during the year, supported by increased usage of the institution’s USSD banking platform and MyAdvans GH mobile application. The shift reflects a broader industry trend as lenders extend services beyond traditional branch networks to reach underserved communities.

Earlier reporting by Accra Street Journal highlighted that Ghana’s savings and loans subsector has faced margin pressures from rising operating costs and competition from mobile money lenders. Advans Ghana’s performance suggests that institutions with strong governance, targeted inclusion programmes, and digital infrastructure can outperform the subsector average.

The lender strengthened its risk management credentials by securing two international certifications: the Client Protection Certification at Silver Level from global rating agency MFR, recognising responsible lending practices, and ISO 27001 certification for information security management.

For 2026, Advans Ghana has adopted the theme “Raising the Standard,” with expansion plans centred on operational growth, customer experience improvements, staff development, and efficiency gains. With a strengthened balance sheet, a growing customer base, and accelerating digital adoption, the institution appears positioned to deepen its role in financing Ghana’s productive enterprises.
