In 1984, the college received approval from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana to run the State Registered Nursing (SRN) Programme, positioning it as the fourth professional nursing college in Ghana, following Korle-Bu, Komfo Anokye, and Agogo Presbyterian.
