A Rising Professional With Deep Insurance Roots

Linda began her professional journey at MTN Ghana as a customer service representative, where she first honed the people skills and problem-solving strengths that would later define her insurance career.

She went on to complete her National Service at SSNIT Ghana, gaining first-hand experience in public-sector administration, documentation, and client-facing processes before transitioning fully into insurance.

Her breakthrough came when she joined Priority Insurance Company Ltd, starting as an officer but quickly rising through the ranks. She served as a Branch Manager for six years, overseeing operations, revenue growth, client servicing, and team supervision. Her leadership at the branch level earned her recognition for strengthening operational efficiency and building a strong customer-focused culture.

Today, Linda serves in the Claims Department at Priority Insurance, where she plays a critical role in evaluating claims, ensuring compliance, and maintaining transparent processes for clients navigating post-incident insurance procedures. Colleagues describe her as meticulous, calm under pressure, and dedicated to fairness—qualities that resonate strongly with the financial responsibilities at stake in the role she seeks at CILAG.

Her drive for professional excellence led her to advance her studies at the Ghana Insurance College, where she completed her chartered insurance qualification. This milestone marked her full integration into the professional insurance community and ultimately paved the way for her active participation in CILAG.

Her academic and professional journey reflects a steady progression rooted in continuous learning—a value she says she intends to bring to her role if elected.

A Vision for Transparent and Responsive Financial Administration

In declaring her candidacy, Linda emphasized her commitment to strengthening financial accountability, improving member engagement, and supporting CILAG’s long-term strategic goals.

She believes that the office of the Assistant Financial Secretary requires not only technical expertise but a strong sense of responsibility and transparency—qualities she has exhibited throughout her career in both branch operations and claims.

“My goal is to support CILAG with precision, transparency, and service-centered leadership progress,” she noted to Accra Street Journal. “Our association is growing, and our financial administration must reflect excellence, transparency, and accountability.”

This year’s elections, following CILAG’s 10th anniversary celebration, come at a time when the industry is experiencing renewed focus on innovation, consumer protection, and regulatory strengthening.

Positions such as Assistant Financial Secretary are crucial, given CILAG’s expanding programs, partnerships, and advocacy initiatives.

Linda’s candidacy contributes to a competitive field that underscores the growing interest in shaping the association’s future direction.

With just weeks to the polls, Linda Ahiatsi is expected to intensify her engagements with CILAG members, presenting her vision and highlighting her track record in operations, finance-related responsibilities, and client service management.

Her supporters argue that her blend of branch leadership experience, claims expertise, customer service background, and chartered insurance training makes her uniquely suited for the role.

The December 3 election will determine whether she secures the mandate to support steering the association’s financial systems, strengthen member support, and contribute to CILAG’s evolving mission of empowering women in Ghana’s insurance industry.
