Playing on the right flank under Carlos Queiroz, the 25-year-old fullback successfully neutralised the dangerous combination of Anthony Gordon and Jude Bellingham. Senaya won all four of his attempted tackles and made five clearances, completing 12 of 15 passes for an 80 percent accuracy rate.

His most explosive moment came in the 50th minute when he launched an overlapping run down the right flank, only to be denied at the last second by England defender Djed Spence. Senaya was fouled twice and committed two fouls before being substituted late in the match.
Senaya, born in Saint-Maurice, France, belongs to a prominent football family. His father, Yao Mawuko Sènaya, and his uncle, Yao Junior Sènaya, are both former Togolese internationals. Holding triple eligibility for France, Togo, and Ghana, he was simultaneously called up by both Togo and Ghana in early 2026 but ultimately chose to represent the Black Stars for the World Cup cycle.
According to a report by Accra Street Journal, Senaya secured a permanent €3.5 million transfer to French Ligue 1 side AJ Auxerre in 2025, where he established himself as an elite starting right-back during the 2025-26 campaign, recording 25 top-flight appearances and ranking in the 99th percentile for defensive fullback contributions. His performance against England, which earned him a 7.3 Sofascore rating, showcased his elite 1v1 ground duel efficiency, tactical recovery pace, and aerial strength.
