University of Ghana, Legon

The University of Ghana, Legon is one of Ghana’s oldest and largest national public universities. The university was founded in the year 1948 before Ghana gained independence.

The University of Ghana was once the University College of the Gold Coast and was originally an affiliated college of the University of London. which administered its academic events and awarded degrees. Shortly After Ghana’s independence in 1957, the university was renamed as the University College of Ghana. It modified its name once again to the University of Ghana in 1961 when it attained full university status.

The school is located on the West view of the Accra Legon hills and at the northeastern center of Ghana’s Capital City Accra. The University of Ghana now has various schools, institutions, colleges, and departments with over 40,000 registered students.

University of Ghana Business School previously Institution of Administration is the undergraduate and post graduate Business School of the University of Ghana in Accra Ghana. It is additionally the prime and the premier Business School in Ghana.

The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) was established in January 1960, by an Executive Instrument (E.I.127) by the Government of Ghana. It was then referred to as College of Administration and located on Western the campus of Achimota School with the old which became the nucleus of KNUST. The School was renamed School of Administration in 1962 and eventually the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) is 2004.
