Red Hot Ghana Winger Joseph Paintsil Scores as Genk Beat KAA Gent

Ghana international Joseph Paintsil was on target for KRC Genk when they beat KAA Gent in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League.

Painstil started and lasted 84 minutes in his sides 3-2 away win over Gent on Sunday night.

The home team shot into the lead through Hyun-Seok Hong after just nine minutes but Joseph Paintsil scored to level pegging in the 23rd minute to make it 1-1.

It was his third goal in three consecutive games for Genk. He scored against Seraing last weekend and Eupen in midweek.

After the break, the visitors doubled their lead through Collins Sor, who scored in the 62nd minute.

Nigerian striker Toluwalase Arokodare added Genk’s third goal of the game in the 86th minute but Laurent Depoitre pulled one back for Gent two minutes later to make 3-2 at the end of the game.

The 25-year-old is enjoying an amazing campaign, scoring 10 goals and providing 12 assists in all competitions.
