The Ghanaian duo fell in straight sets to Egypt’s Mohammed Safwat and Fares Mohammed, who secured a 6-4, 6-2 victory.

Asaba and Nortey needed a win to advance to the semifinals and secure at least a bronze medal, but they were outplayed by the experienced Egyptian pair.
Semifinal Line-Up Confirmed
Egypt’s victory sends them into the semifinals alongside Zimbabwe, who defeated Burundi in straight sets, and two teams from Tunisia.
In the women’s doubles competition, two Egyptian teams have progressed to the semifinals, joined by representatives from Kenya and Nigeria.
The result marks the end of Ghana’s tennis campaign at the Games, with hopes now shifting to other disciplines as the competition continues in Accra.
