Amid growing uncertainty at Old Trafford, Marcus Rashford is reportedly eager to make a move to FC Barcelona this summer, reigniting speculation about a potential shift in the English forward’s career trajectory.

According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Rashford has set his sights on Catalonia following the end of his loan spell at Aston Villa. While he is contractually bound to return to Manchester United, both the player and the club appear poised to part ways. Club insiders suggest Rashford is not in United’s plans for the 2025/26 campaign, clearing the way for a possible transfer during the summer window.

Barcelona, long admirers of Rashford’s pace and versatility, remain interested. Sources close to the matter told Accra Street Journal that Rashford has maintained strong interest in the Spanish side since January. A recent meeting between his agent and Barcelona’s sporting director Deco has added weight to talks, although formal negotiations remain in the early stages.

The key hurdle, however, remains financial. Manchester United have reportedly set a €40 million price tag on the 26-year-old, a valuation the La Liga giants are hesitant to meet amid their own fiscal constraints.

While it’s unclear whether Barcelona will return with a revised offer or look elsewhere, Rashford’s future appears increasingly likely to be decided outside of Manchester.
