Conquerors SC have been crowned champions of the 2026 Greater Regional Rugby Coordinating Council (GRCC) Regional 7s after defeating Accra Rugby Club 40-5 in the final at the University of Ghana Rugby Stadium on September 12.
The Conquerors entered the final with confidence after an impressive run through the competition and maintained their momentum when it mattered most, scoring 46 points against an Accra Rugby Club side that managed just five.
Their victory capped an exciting day of rugby as some of Greater Accra’s leading clubs battled for regional honours.

In the earlier matches, Accra Rugby Club defeated Accra Majestics 15-10, before Conquerors SC announced their intentions with a 21-0 victory over Dansoman Hurricanes.
Accra Rugby Club continued their strong run by beating IDAS Sports Club 29-12, while Conquerors SC recorded the day’s biggest preliminary victory with a 65-0 demolition of African Warriors.
IDAS Sports Club then defeated Accra Majestics 21-0, while African Warriors bounced back to beat Dansoman Hurricanes 21-0.
The placement matches provided further competitive action.
In the 5th and 6th-place playoff, Dansoman Hurricanes and Accra Majestics played out a 0-0 draw.
African Warriors secured third place after beating IDAS Sports Club 5-0 in the 3rd and 4th-place playoff.
But it was Conquerors SC who had the final say, producing a dominant display to beat Accra Rugby Club 46-5 and lift the 2026 GRCA Regional 7s title.
The triumph underlines Conquerors SC’s strength in the shortened format and gives the club a major boost as rugby development and competition continue to grow across the Greater Accra region.
