Zimbabwe’s Kuzivaishe Chapepa was the first of the quartet to punch her semifinal ticket, defeating Nigeria’s Ohunene Comfort Yakubu 6-3, 6-2 in a composed straight-set performance.

Chapepa controlled the important moments and maintained her momentum throughout the contest to become the first player to advance into the girls’ singles semifinal.
Last week’s J100 Accra champion, Sydney Wright of the United States, continued her impressive run in the Ghanaian capital, securing a second consecutive semifinal appearance after overcoming Zimbabwe’s Erin Patience Kudzai Chapepa in a gruelling three-set encounter.

Wright recovered from a second-set setback to claim a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 victory, underlining the fighting qualities that carried her to the title last week.
Poland’s Alisha Ndukwu, who finished runner-up to Wright in last week’s J100 final, also remains firmly in contention for another championship appearance.
Ndukwu produced a strong straight-set performance against South Korea’s Jiwon Hwang, winning 6-1, 6-4 to book her place in the last four.

Completing the semifinal line-up was India’s Trisha Nikhil Shinde, who survived one of the day’s longest and most demanding encounters.
Shinde battled for three hours and 16 minutes against Russia’s Milana Kolesova, eventually prevailing 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 after a marathon contest that tested both players’ physical and mental strength.

With the four semifinalists now confirmed, the J100 Accra girls’ singles competition promises another exciting chapter as Chapepa, Wright, Ndukwu and Shinde battle for places in Saturday’s final.
The tournament, organised by Tennis Foundation Ghana (TFG) at the National Tennis Centre, is part of the ITF Junior World Tennis Tour and continues to provide young players from Ghana, Africa and around the world with valuable ranking points and international competitive experience.
The semifinals will now take centre stage as the four remaining contenders chase the J100 Accra crown.
