Black Stars captain André Dede Ayew leaves Qatar side, Al Sadd

Al-Sadd SC have confirmed that it has terminated its contract with Black Stars captain Andre Ayew.

The agreement was reached by mutual consent and was announced via a social media statement.

“OFFICIAL: Al-Sadd SC has reached an agreement with Andre Ayew to terminate his contract with the club by mutual consent,” the club said on Twitter.

The 33-year-old midfielder had five months left on his two-year deal with the club.

No reason was given for the termination. Ayew joined Al Sadd as a free agent in July 2021 and played in 30 league games, scoring 18 goals.

– 2 assists
– 1 Qatar Stars League (2021–22)
– 1 Emir of Qatar Cup

There are rumors that Ayew could join rival club Al Rayyan.
