Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, to commission Legon Sports Stadium today for 13th African Games

His Excellency Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, is set to commission the Legon Sports Stadium on Friday, March 1, 2024, in preparation for the upcoming 13th African Games.

The 11,000-capacity facility, completed to host the African Games 2023, will be commissioned as part of the final phase of preparations for the event..

Kicking off at 10:00 GMT, the inauguration will feature Vice President Bawumia alongside Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif. Dr. Ofosu Asare shared his excitement about the Vice President’s participation, highlighting how valuable such high-level backing is for the sports sector.
