Karela United forward Jonas Wisdom Manyina will be one of the players to watch when his side faces Hearts of Oak, having recently opened his Premier League account with the winner in Karela United’s 3-1 comeback victory over Bechem United.
The match, scheduled for the Naa Sheriga Sports Centre in Nalerigu, is set for an 3:00pm GMT kick-off, with Manyina expected to be among the attacking players capable of causing problems for the Hearts of Oak defence.
Manyina joined Karela United on a permanent transfer from Real Tamale United (RTU) in August 2026, arriving with a reputation as a promising attacking talent. He had scored two goals already in three games for Karela United.

The forward made his name during his time with RTU in the Access Bank Division One League, where his goalscoring form attracted attention. He scored 15 league goals during the 2024/25 campaign as RTU pushed for promotion and also earned two NASCO Player of the Match awards. He was subsequently named the Division One League Player of the Month in January after scoring four goals in five matches.
Karela United will be hoping Manyina can bring his pace, movement and attacking creativity to the forefront as they look to make an impact against one of Ghana’s most recognised clubs.
The fixture comes at an important stage of the campaign. Karela United have collected three points from their opening three matches, while Hearts of Oak have started the season strongly and remain unbeaten after three games.
For Manyina, the encounter provides an opportunity to make a statement against one of the country’s biggest clubs.
His ability to stretch the defence, attack spaces and create opportunities in the final third could make him an important figure for Karela United as they seek to challenge Hearts of Oak.
