The name change was initiated through a formal board resolution by the club’s ownership and reflects a broader ambition to represent a unified Northern identity, particularly as women’s football continues to gain traction across the regions. The GFA’s official letter acknowledged the successful re-registration of the club under the new name with the Registrar General’s Department, with all regulatory obligations and rights now transferred accordingly.
